A mandatory add-on refers to a product automatically included with another upon order. For instance, a customer might require a screen protector and DEP as mandatory add-ons when purchasing an iPhone. These add-ons cannot be edited by the user during checkout and are not calculated in the users budget. Instead, the cost for these products is automatically added to the company, not the employee.

The configuration of mandatory add-ons are done in Velory for Partners and is accessible only to individuals with a manager account. If you are a customer that is interested in mandatory add-ons, contact your partner for assistance.
Add-ons are managed by adding them to a specific CSV file template, which is then uploaded for a specific customer. Read the detailed process below for further details.
How to configure mandatory add-ons
- Ensure that the customer has all the products in their product assortment that you want to include in the CSV file, both the products intended as mandatory add-ons and those to which the add-on products will be linked to needs to be available in the assortment for the configuration to work.
- In Velory for Partners, you go to Companies in the navigation bar, and search for the company you want to handle the mandatory add-ons for.
- Click on the company name and then go to the Pricing Settings tab.
- In the Product section you have the section for Add-ons, here you are able to Download existing add-ons to receive the specific CSV format that the upload requires. If existing add-ons are configured, the CSV file will include these details upon download. If no add-ons are configured, you'll receive an empty CSV template.
- The CSV file contains five standard columns that must be filled in correctly for the upload to function correctly.

- If you have multiple parent VPNs that you want to add to an add-on, list them on the same row without spaces, separating the VPNs with commas (,).
- When you are done adding the products VPN in the template, save the file and upload it in Velory for Partners.
Factors to consider:
- If you need to update, add, or remove any mandatory add-ons, uploading a new file will overwrite the previous one. For instance, if you currently have one add-on and want to include another, the latest version must include both add-ons.
- Mandatory add-ons are company-funded and not charged to the user, so prices for these add-ons will be calculated in the budgets and therefore also no costs of the products will be visible in the store.
- If an add-on product is added with optional parent VPNs the users budget and company settings may affect the related products visibility.
